Our Online Hub
None of us want to spend more time online than we already do—but since we're on the internet anyway, let's use it to open a path back home to the land! Our new online hub is a dedicated collaboration space for doing just that.

Free to join, open to all
The hub is completely free to join, and open to everyone who resonates with our vision of low-impact, nature-based community living. You might be:
An aspiring resident
who wants to live in one of the communities we're going to be creating.
A supporter
who wants to contribute skills, knowledge, or resources to our mission.
A fellow traveller
working on your own land-based project and seeking connection with others.
A curious learner
exploring what land-based living could offer and how it aligns with your values.
You don't need to be an expert in natural building, permaculture or community living to get involved. You don't need to own land, capital, or even a pair of wellies. All that matters is that you feel the call home to the earth and community, and you're open to collaborating with others who feel the same way.

What's inside?
There are lots of ways to use the hub, depending on your interests and availability:

About Regional Groups
Our current active group is in Totnes, Devon (since that’s where we’re based), but we’re keen to seed groups all around the country.
Due to legislation being more favourable in Wales (OPD) and Cornwall (Policy AL1) than in the rest of the UK, these areas are natural starting points for community creation. But our intention is to push for policy change across the UK to make land-based community living more accessible everywhere, so we want to support groups across the country.

About Our Core Group
We're currently a very small team on a very large mission, and desperately need others to join in to help move things along.
If you have skills you'd like to contribute, we'd love to hear from you.
Roles needed at the moment include:
Media & Communications
Storytelling, social media, PR.
Event Organising
Online and in-person gatherings.
Fundraising
Grant writing, donor cultivation, and developing sustainable funding models.
Partnership Development
Help us grow our collaborative ecosystem.
Natural Building
Participate on WyldRoom builds, courses, and other building parties.
As soon as we’re in a position to do so we’ll be taking on paid team members for these and other roles, but at the moment you can probably expect all work to be unpaid. Those of us who have got the project this far have had to learn to be okay with that for now—we really hope you can too.

From online to on the land
Whilst the hub provides a useful space for connection and collaboration, our main goal is to get off the internet and back onto the land as soon as possible! It might take some time to create the beautiful one-planet communities of our dreams, so in the meantime we'll be hosting regular in-person events.
The online hub can be your gateway to these real-world opportunities. Members will have priority access to:
- In-person gatherings, workshops, and celebrations.
- Land-based volunteer opportunities.
- Courses in natural building, permaculture, and land-based crafts.
- Immersive experiences at our retreat centres as they come into being.

Together, we can forge a pathway home
Returning home to the land isn't something we can do alone. It requires shared wisdom, diverse skills, and collective effort. It takes a village to make a village. It takes a community to weave a culture of connection and belonging.
Fortunately, there are so many of us who share the longing to return, to restore ourselves to the web of life. If we come together, working towards a common vision, we can forge a path back onto the land and start to re-member our place in the great circle of being.
