Summer Building Party
We’ve been invited to design and build a nature-inspired retreat centre this summer, and we’re looking for volunteers to help make it happen.
We’ll be transforming a lovely six-acre field into a bio-abundant permaculture wonderland and nature-based retreat centre.
With over 20 circular natural structures set amidst an agri-wilded landscape, we’ll effectively be building a small ecological village from the ground up.
If you dream of building your own off-grid homestead or being part of the creation of the solarpunk land-based communities of the future, this could be a big step in that direction for you.
Learn To Build A Strawbale Roundhouse
Join us for two weeks of natural building on the beautiful North Cornish coast.
On this course/workshop you will learn how to make a simple but robust and cosy roundhouse with strawbale wall and reciprocal frame roof, built on an insulated wooden platform.
Together, we’ll be creating an 18ft internal diameter roundhouse from the ground up, going carefully through each step to provide both understanding and hands-on experience of the whole process.
Recent Events.
Over two weeks in April and May we brought together a group of people looking to grow their skills and come together in community on the land. In a beautiful setting in North Cornwall, under changing skies, we created a cute little home from the ground up using simple natural materials.
It’s wonderful what a few people can do with some simple tools and ingredients, and a positive vision of what is possible. And we had a beautiful time together on the land. Hooray!
